Hand-crafted Visions for the Global Market

Plenty’s Horn • Pittsburg, Texas

Where fine art meets bespoke furniture—and every piece tells a story.

At the heart of this dynamic collaboration, artist Marnie joined forces with world-renowned portraitist Jan Williamson (whose work is globally exhibited and lauded) Jan Williamson+1 and handmade-furniture artisan Barbara Wertz, to co-create extraordinary, high-end furniture for the international market under the banner of Plenty’s Horn.

Based in Pittsburg, Texas, Plenty’s Horn is known for customizing one-of-a-kind furniture pieces that transcend mere functional use—they are artworks. The Giggle Guide+1 In this project, Marnie wore many hats—as creator, designer, painter, collaborator, and road-warrior. She traveled with the team to set up markets, engaged in the physical, creative and emotional grind of the process, and infused each piece with art-driven energy and craftsmanship.

“Designing a piece that someone around the world will sit on, live with, and feel—it connects the gallery to the living room. That’s what we built here.”

Project Scope & Highlights

  • Collaboration across disciplines: Fine-art portraiture, furniture design, and handmade finishing techniques all blended into one production line.
  • Global reach: While rooted in Texas craftsmanship, the pieces were created for high-end clients and custom orders worldwide.
  • On-the-ground experience: From sketching concepts to hands-on finishing, and even setting up sales markets, Marnie engaged fully in every phase—creative and logistic, sweat, tears and laughter included.

Why This Stands Out

Aligning with a brand like Plenty’s Horn gave Marnie the opportunity to showcase her artistic vision not just on walls or canvases but as tangible, lived-in objects of design. Collaborating with Jan Williamson (an internationally respected portrait artist) added prestige and cross-disciplinary weight to the project; Plenty’s Horn’s reputation for “made-to-order … high-end children’s furniture and bedding” ensures that the work landed in the realm of luxury and bespoke craftsmanship.
